Two daily wage labourers died under suspicious circumstances in Karimnagar after collapsing at a labour adda on Sunday. Police are probing whether the deaths were due to natural causes, illicit liquor consumption, or other intoxicating substances.

Three persons suffered serious injuries and were said to be critical. They were shifted to the Government General Hospital, Nagarkurnool. About 10 labourers are undergoing treatment at Koderu area hospital.

Soon as it started raining, they went near to a tree to take cover but lightening struck them and both of them collapsed on the spot, according to reports.

Eyewitnesses reported that a collision occurred between an RTC bus and a tractor transporting laborers, resulting in fatalities.

Officials reported that rescuers, aided by local police, successfully extracted 19 laborers trapped under the debris of the market building

According to police, the labourers work in Parameshwar rice mill in Keshapatnam. On Wednesday evening, they went to Rajarajeshwara parboiled rice mill to unload paddy.
