Two daily wage labourers electrocuted in Mancherial
Two daily wage labourers died on the spot after an iron stand they were carrying accidentally touched an 11 kV power line at a fuel filling station in Medaripet village, Dandepalli mandal. Police shifted the bodies to Luxettipet government hospital for post-mortem.

Mancherial: Two daily wage labourers were electrocuted accidentally after coming into contact with a live wire while standing at a fuel filling station in Medaripet village of Dandepalli mandal on Monday. Another person escaped unhurt in the mishap.
Dandepalli Sub-Inspector Tahseenuddin said Salla Laxminarayana alias Eddanna of Medaripet and Chandanagari Nagaraju of Velganur village were killed on the spot when an iron stand they were carrying touched an 11 kV power line at the fuel station. Both sustained severe burns and died instantly.
They had been engaged by a person to shift the iron stand for the construction of a house when the accident occurred. The victims were working for a cement trader in Medaripet.
Police rushed to the spot after receiving information about the incident and shifted the bodies to the government hospital in Luxettipet for postmortem.
Based on a complaint lodged by a family member of one of the victims, a case has been registered and an investigation is on.
