Two-day NT-Telangana Today realty expo kicks off in Khammam

Khammam: The two-day Namasthe Telangana-Telangana Today property show, first of its kind to be held in Khammam, kicked off here on Saturday.
Municipal Commissioner Adarsh Surabhi along with ZP Chairman L Kamalraj, SUDA Chairman B Vijay Kumar, DCC Bank Chairman K Nagabhushanam and Mayor P Neeraja inaugurated the property show.
Speaking on the occasion, Surabhi appreciated the initiative of Namasthe Telangana and Telangana Today in organising the property show and said Khammam Municipal Corporation has a high growth indicator and thus real estate business was booming in the city. Those buying any real estate property need to check whether the venture is approved by DTCP, SUDA and District Level Committee chaired by the District Collector, Surabhi said.
For a planned growth in the city, property developers have to follow rules, the Municipal Commissioner said, while Additional Collector N Madhusudhan advised developers not to develop ventures on shikam lands and buffer zones. Nagabhushanam also asked the officials to speed up the process of according permissions to layouts so that both the developers and the buyers can be benefitted. Sometimes there has been a delay in giving approvals to ventures, he noted.
Vijay Kumar stated Khammam had witnessed rapid growth in the past seven years and it has helped real estate sector to thrive in the city, which is second only to Hyderabad in the State.
The newspapers’ GM (Advertisement) N Surender Rao explained that the property show was aimed at bringing together real estate developers, banks and prospective property buyers. As many as 20 stalls have been put up and several national banks including SBI, BOB, Canara Bank, UBI are also participating in the show. Good number of people turned out at the event on the first day.
A real estate company Sri Balaji Estates and Constructions led by Vatsavai Ravi is the main sponsor while Sri City and Sri Jaya Vilasini Developers and Constructions are the associate sponsors of the event.
