Khammam: The two-day Namasthe Telangana – Telangana Today property show, which concluded on Sunday, evoked good response from the residents of Khammam city.
Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar who attended the closing ceremony of the event said he was happy to see that Namasthe Telangana and Telangana Today newspapers, which were serving as the voice of Telangana, came up with the innovative idea of organising a property show.
He expressed pleasure over the success of the first ever property show in Khammam and wanted the newspapers to organise more such events in future to benefit the public who want to buy real estate property.
Ajay Kumar noted that great development has taken place in Khammam city after the formation of separate Telangana. In the past, the basic infrastructure in the city took a backseat as the past rulers neglected the city’s development.
Long pending issue of Gollapadu modernisation was addressed; several parks on Lakaram tank bund and other places were developed, city roads were widened with beautiful medians and traffic islands on par with metro cities, he explained.
The rapid development in the city also led to speedy growth of real estate business as many from towns in Khammam and other districts showed interest to own a property in the city and in such a context, the property by Namasthe Telangana-Telangana Today was a welcome development, Ajay Kumar said.
He advised the realty developers to offer quality services to people and the State government would provide all possible support to real estate developers.
On Sunday, as many as 20 stalls at the show witnessed a huge number of visitors who expressed pleasure at the show, which they said helped to gain insight into many issues related to property purchase.
A real estate company Sri Balaji Estates is the main sponsor, Sri City and Sri Jaya Vilasini Developers and Constructions were associate sponsors. Namaste Telangana bureau in-charge M Venugopal, branch manager R Ramesh, edition in-charge K Purnachander Rao, assistant manager (Ads) Shekar and circulation ACM, Ajay were present.
