Two days of heavy showers leave Hyderabad under water
Roads continue to be water-logged disrupting traffic flow at major stretches; inundations reported from areas such as Jawaharnagar and Venkateswara Colony give anxious moments to residents

Hyderabad: After a brief overnight pause, rains returned to lash different parts of the city on Saturday.
Rains with thunderstorms started at 3.30 pm in Secunderabad, Tarnaka, Alwal, Bolarum, Kacheguda. Barkatpura, Kukatpally, Bowenpally, Chilkalguda, Lalapet, Nacharam, Habsiguda, Dilsukhnagar, Musheerabad, Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills, Koti, Begum Bazar, Narayanguda, RTC X Roads, Amberpet, Erragadda and Yousufguda.
The scenes from Friday returned with rain water-logged roads that disrupted traffic. Knee-deep waterlogging under rail over bridge at Bible House caused inconvenience and affected the movement of commuters. Inundations were reported from areas such as Jawaharnagar and Venkateswara Colony giving anxious moments to residents.
On Saturday, the highest rainfall was recorded in Kapra (77.8 mm) while Kakatiya Hills (Madhapur) recorded the lowest of 2 mm
