Two fishermen found dead in a tank in Khammam
Two fishermen who went missing in a tank at Nagulavancha in Telangana’s Chintakani mandal were found dead on Monday. The NDRF carried out the search, which was supervised by local police after the family raised an alarm.
Khammam: Bodies of two fishermen, who went missing in a tank at Nagulavancha in Chintakani mandal on Sunday, were found on Monday.
Kambham Nageswara Rao (62) and his brother Kambham Satyam (58) had gone to stand guard over the tank, which they acquired through an auction. As they did not return home even after the evening hours, their family members telephoned them and found their mobile phones switched off.
The family who went to the tank looking for the duo found their bike, clothes and footwear on the tank bund. Suspecting that the fishermen might have gone missing in the tank, the family members informed police.
The local SI, Nagulmeera monitored the search operation launched by the NDRF team for the missing persons.
