Hyderabad: In a joint operation, Hyderabad Police, along with the Hyderabad Narcotic Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) team, arrested two foreign nationals under the limits of Rajendra Nagar Police Station and seized 150 grams of MDMA valued at Rs 25 lakh.

The arrested persons were identified as Al-Aqar Abdurabu Mohammed Abdurabu (37), a Yemeni national residing in Tolichowki, and Hasan W A Hashem (28), a Palestinian national based in Bengaluru.

Police said both have prior NDPS cases registered against them and Abdurabu was absconding in earlier cases.

According to police, the suspects allegedly sourced MDMA from an absconding supplier through online contacts and digital payments, while his associate assisted in distribution and financial transactions. The duo reportedly supplied drugs in Hyderabad and Bengaluru using direct deliveries and ‘dead-drop’ methods.

A case has been registered under relevant sections of the NDPS Act and the Foreigners Act. Police seized a knife and four mobile phones during the operation.

The Hyderabad Police urged citizens to stay alert against drug abuse and share information by dialing 100 or 112.
