Kadapa: Two girls drowned in KC Canal in the district on Monday.

Malliswari and Radha, both aged nine years, of Vasudevapuram village in Rajupalem mandal, took out their cattle for grazing in the fields in the morning. After the cattle returned to the banks of KC Canal (Kadapa-Kurnool Canal) in the afternoon, they entered the canal to quench their thirst. But, they slipped and fell into the canal.


When the girls did not return, their family members went in search of them and found their bodies in the canal.
