Adilabad: Two government employees were arrested on Monday evening for allegedly duping a woman by creating forged documents of a house site in Adilabad.

Adilabad DSP L Jeevan Reddy said Konduri Gangadhar, a Class IV employee at the Zilla Parishad office, and Devalla Govardhan, a senior assistant at the town employment office, were taken into custody for cheating Thakur Swarupa Rani.

The duo allegedly created fake documents for a house site that had already been allotted to one Ameeruddin in 2006. They sold the site to Swarupa Rani that same year, collecting Rs.65,000 from her.

During interrogation, Gangadhar and Govardhan confessed to forging the documents to make quick money. They admitted to having approached Swarupa Rani through her husband Ravinder Singh when he was working in Adilabad.
