Hyderabad: The Musheerabad police on Monday arrested two persons who allegedly cheated a man and took away his Apple iPhone at the end of last month.
According to the police, Mohammed Ikramuddin, the prime suspect, came across an advertisement for an Apple iPhone on an online business platform and contacted the seller over the phone.
Ikramuddin asked him to come to Musheerabad for the deal. The suspect rented a room for a day at the Eden Home building, and when the victim arrived, Ikramuddin took him inside saying he lived there.
“He convinced the victim to hand over the phone, claiming he wanted to show it to his mother who was seated in the next room. Ikramuddin collected the gadget and escaped from the spot,” said Nadeem Hussain, Detective Inspector, Musheerabad police station.
Following a complaint, the police registered a case and arrested Ikramuddin and his associate Sumeet Saini. The stolen phone was recovered from them.
