Two held with marijuana worth Rs 16.5 lakh in Begumpet

Hyderabad: In a joint operation, the Hyderabad GRP, EAGLE Team (TGANB), and RPF nabbed two persons and seized 33.05 kg of marijuana worth Rs 16.5 lakh at Begumpet railway station on Thursday night.
The suspects Rajesh Bishoyi (26) and Sujata Singh (29), both from Odisha were caught with two trolley suitcases containing 16 bundles of marijuana while waiting to board another train after getting off the Konark Express from Chatrapur to Mumbai.
Police said the duo was transporting the contraband on the instructions of one Kishore Lima, a key supplier from Odisha who is currently absconding. They were promised Rs 1,000 per kg for the delivery.
Case is under investigation and efforts are on to nab Kishore Lima.
