The Begumpet railway station has been transformed into a modern transit hub that showcases Telangana’s rich heritage, developed under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme at an estimated cost of Rs 26.55 crore.
Union Minister G Kishan Reddy said that three Amrit Bharat Stations in Telangana – Begumpet, Warangal and Karimnagar - are all set to be dedicated to the public by the PM on Thursday at 9.30am

Some maids had also approached the United Federation of Resident Welfare Associations to take up their issue of providing regulated access to cross the railway tracks till an under pass is constructed
The facilities for train travelers planned at the redeveloped Begumpet station includes removal of unwanted structures, improved lighting, better circulating area, upgraded parking space, Divyangjan-friendly infrastructure, environment-friendly building by use of green energy, etc.
As part of the campaign, RPF sought to create awareness on the critical issues of stone pelting and trespassing to passengers at the railway station and residents of colonies and slum in the surroundings.
