Hyderabad: A local court on Monday sentenced two labourers to 10 years imprisonment each for killing their co-worker over serving chicken curry at Adibatla in 2020. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 500 on each of them.

The convicted persons were Hanuman Manute (25) and Bandan Kumar Chowdary (31) from Nampally labour adda. In February 2020, the duo during a liquor party picked up a fight with one Abdullah over him asking Hanuman Manute to serve chicken curry. Abdullah abused them and went off to sleep. Angered by this, they started beating Abdullah. He suffered grievous bleeding injuries and died in hospital.
