Two killed in road accident involving four vehicles near Chityal of Nalgonda

The accident took place as the driver of the private bus applied sudden brakes bringing the vehicle to an abrupt halt on the road. This resulted in a car following the bus to collide with it.

Nalgonda: Two persons died on the spot and several others were injured in a major road accident involving four vehicles – a private bus, container truck and two cars near Pedda Kaparthy on Hyderabad– Vijayawada national highway in the early hours of Sunday.

The accident took place as the driver of the private bus applied sudden brakes bringing the vehicle to an abrupt halt on the road. This resulted in a car following the bus to collide with it. A container truck coming from behind the car also got involved in the crash. The front portion of the car was completely crushed, leading to the immediate death of two passengers inside. Another car lost control and hit the divider.

Several other individuals sustained serious injuries in the accident. Upon receiving information, the police arrived at the scene and initiated rescue operations. The injured were shifted to the hospital for treatment.

The bus was on its way from Vijayawada to Hyderabad when the accident occurred. The police have registered a case and started investigating the incident. The identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained. The accident resulted in a traffic jam on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada National Highway, but the vehicles involved in the accident were removed, and traffic was cleared.
