Nalgonda: Two persons were killed in a road accident on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada highway near Yellamabavi village in the early hours of Saturday. A container lorry collided with a private travels bus that had stopped on the side of the highway, resulting in the immediate death of two passengers.

The deceased have been identified as Satish Kumar, 55, and Teja, 24, both residents of Yellandu in Khammam district. The collision also left eleven other passengers injured, who were promptly shifted to a local hospital for medical treatment.


Police registered a case and started investigating the cause of the accident. Further details are awaited.
