Bijapur: Two Maoist cadres were killed in a gunfight with security forces in the forest areas near Bijapur under the Gangalur police station limits in Chhattisgarh on Friday morning.

Police recovered a pistol, tiffin bomb, cooker bomb, explosives and some other materials used by naxalites, police said.

The two slain Maoists were identified as Gangalur Area Committee platoon deputy commander Pandu Madhwi and his fellow naxalite Munga Nayapara, police said.
