Two more bulls die in Vemulawada goshala; toll rises to 29

Rajanna-Sircilla: Two more kodelu died in Sri Rajarajeshwara Swamy temple, Vemulawada, goshala on Friday. So far, 29 bulls have died in the recent past.
In a statement, district veterinary officer Ravinder Reddy informed that out of 1,300 bulls, 11 were suffering from ill-health.
Kodelus, which were being provided treatment by veterinary doctors, were responding to the treatment. However, the health condition of three bulls remains critical.
Stating that all possible steps have been taken to ensure kodelu’s health, he said that no new bull had developed ill-health.
Meanwhile, the authorities at Sri Rajarajeshwara Swamy temple in Vemulawada are planning to establish a veterinary hospital at the temple’s goshala.
The move comes amid growing concerns over poor health and overcrowding conditions in the goshala, located on six acres in Thippapur.
