Hyderabad: Two more cases were registered at different police stations in the city against Nizamabad Member of Parliament Dharmapuri Arvind for his alleged offensive remarks against different sections of the society.
The Banjara Hills police booked a case against him for using derogatory comments against higher police officials following the arrest of Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar earlier this month. The Banjara Hills Inspector had lodged a complaint against him following which the case was booked.
Another case was booked against Arvind for derogatory comments against a particular group during a speech near the Central Prison Chanchalguda. The Madannapet police booked the case after it received a ‘zero FIR’ from the Nizamabad police. During his speech, the MP who had gone to meet Teenmaar Mallana at the Chanchalguda prison last month made defamatory comments against TRS leaders and a particular group of society. The police registered the case under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the SC/ST (POA) Act.
Earlier, two cases were booked against the BJP MP at the Banjara Hills police station for making derogatory statements against Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.
