Hyderabad: The Mailardevpally police solved the Rs 50 lakh cash burglary case reported at SV Industries at Katedan in the last week of October and arrested two persons on Tuesday. Police recovered Rs 11.1 lakh from them.
The arrested persons were Mohd Masood alias Sonu (32) from Katedan in Mailardevpally and Mohd Shabhaz alias Bablu (35) from Mahabubnagar district and natives of Bihar.
Three suspects, Mohd Imtiyaz, Mohd Nayeem and Sadakath, all from Bihar, were absconding.
According to the police, on the night of October 31, as per Sonu’s instructions, the rest of the suspects broke into the company belonging to one P Sudarshan Reddy and stole Rs.50 lakh from the almirah. They shared the stolen money among themselves, Mailardevpally Inspector K Narasimha said.
Following a complaint from Sudarshan Reddy, a case was booked and the suspects were identified and nabbed. Officials said Rs.11.1 lakh was recovered from the arrested persons while efforts were on to nab the remaining suspects, who were in possession of the remaining cash.
