Jagital: Two persons were killed and two others were injured when a marriage vehicle met with an accident near Dharur canal on the outskirts of Jagtial town early on Sunday morning.

The incident occurred when the car in which the victims were traveling collided with an RTC bus near Dharur canal.


While the bride Lakhsmi’s brother Sankeerth, who was driving the car, and her friend Raji died on the spot, her parents sustained serious injuries. Lakshmi too sustained serious injuries.

The injured were admitted to the Jagtial government hospital. Lakshmi was shifted to the Karimnagar hospital as her health condition deteriorated.

Residents of Hanumanwada, Mission compound of Jagtial town, the family had attended their daughter’s marriage reception held in Jangaon on Saturday night. They met with the accident while returning to Jagtial.

The car hit the bus, which was on its way to Hyderabad, and then went on to crash into a roadside tree.
