Two online sex rackets busted by Rachakonda cops

Hyderabad: The Rachakonda Anti-Human Trafficking Unit busted two online sex rackets in Balapur and arrested three organisers apart from rescuing three victims. The suspects were organizing online prostitution using advertisements on popular classifieds website Locanto.
In one case, the Rachakonda AHTU along with the Balapur police in a decoy operation nabbed Shiva, Satish, Nageshwar Rao and Mahesh Goud and rescued two women from them.
According to the police, Shiva took a house on rent at Rahmath Nagar in Yousufguda and with the help of his associates was operating a flesh trade. They used the Locanto classifieds website to post advertisements and attract customers. They collected Rs 3,000 from each customer through online payments only.
In another case, the police busted a sex racket and rescued a woman who was brought here from West Bengal. Police said the prime suspect Mamatha from Mumbai along with two of her associates were operating the racket from Mumbai with the help of local agents here. They contacted customers over phone and the deal was finalised and payment done through E-wallets.
Recently, on the request of a customer, they arranged the victim from Kolkata and lodged her in a hotel in Mehdipatnam. On receiving information, the police raided the premises and rescued the woman. Efforts are on to nab the absconding suspects.
