According the local police, the fire erupted in one dwelling and soon spread to two other huts set up by migrants. Before the fire tender could reach the spot, the local people managed to douse the fire.
The police suspect that the fire started while a woman was preparing food in the house and some combustible material caught fire. Investigation is going on.
Fire mishap on premises of NIN Tarnaka
In another fire mishap in the city, the wild grass on the premises of the National Institute of Nutrition at Tarnaka caught fire. On information a fire tender from Moula Ali fire station rushed to the spot and doused the fire. Fire officials suspect that some persons might have thrown a lighted cigarette butt that might have caused the fire.
