Jogulamba Gadwal: Two panchayat secretaries in Jogulamba Gadwal district were suspended on Saturday for allegedly marking fake attendance in the daily register.
The suspended officials — Tirumaleshu of Vittalapuram and Srinivas of Boyalagudem — were found to have manipulated their attendance records, prompting immediate disciplinary action.
Following the incident, the District Collector issued a directive mandating that all panchayat secretaries must record their attendance before 11 am via the live face recognition app. Any failure to comply or attempts to register false entries will invite strict disciplinary action, the Collector warned.
