Hyderabad: Two Passport Seva Kendras (PSKs) in the city, located at Ameerpet and Tolichowki, have been shifted to new premises from where they will commence operations on September 16.
The Ameerpet PSK, located at Aditya Trade Centre, has been relocated to MGBS Metro station, while the Tolichowki Passport Seva Kendra, situated at Anand Silicon Chip near Shaikpet Nala, was moved to the Siri Building on Old Mumbai Road, Raidurg.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) established three PSKs—Begumpet, Ameerpet and Tolichowki—in the city and commenced passport services in November 2011. Now, Ameerpet and Tolichowki PSKs are moving to the new locations for the convenience of thousands of applicants.
On Sunday, the Regional Passport Officer, Hyderabad, J Snehaja, visited the MGBS Metro PSK along with senior officials to review the arrangements and amenities provided for applicants.
A senior RPO official said all arrangements were in place to commence passport services from MGBS Metro and Raidurg PSKs from September 16.
Both PSKs at MGBS Metro station and Raidurg were equipped with improved infrastructure to handle increased footfall and offer better amenities apart from cutting down on waiting time for applicants, said the RPO official.
