Two police officers caught taking bribe at Shamshabad airport outpost
Two police officers were caught by ACB while accepting a bribe at Shamshabad airport outpost in a case linked to a fake certificates racket. They allegedly demanded money to spare accused persons’ family members from arrest.

Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials arrested two police officers attached to the RGI Airport Police Outpost for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe on Wednesday.
The officers have been identified as Inspector of Police, Sampathi Kanakaiah and Sub-inspector UK Siddeshwar.
According to ACB officials, the duo demanded Rs 5 lakh from the complainant and accepted Rs 2 lakh as part payment in exchange for extending official favour.
The officers allegedly promised to file a charge sheet and avoid implicating or arresting the complainant’s family members in a case registered at the RGI Airport Police Station in Shamshabad.
During subsequent searches at the residence of Kanakaiah, ACB officials recovered Rs 33.97 lakh in cash along with property documents, which are now under investigation.
The tainted officers were produced before the special court for ACB cases in Nampally and remanded in judicial custody.
