Hyderabad: The Sanathnagar police arrested two persons allegedly involved in two different cases of theft and recovered property worth Rs 2.7 lakh from them. In the first case, the police arrested one Shaik Ahmed alias Ahmed (23) of Motinagar in Borabanda.
He was allegedly involved in a case reported at Narayana Nilayam in Sanathnagar. “On Thursday, he entered the house of S Avinash at SRT colony in Sanathnagar and broke open the door and took away gold ornaments worth Rs 1.2 lakh from the cupboard,” Sanathnagar Inspector M Muthu Yadav said.
In another case, the police arrested Thammi Setti Ram, who was allegedly involved in a theft case at Sanathnagar three days ago. “Setti Ram snatched gold ornaments from a woman who was walking on the road. On the description provided by the victim, the crime team identified the suspect and nabbed him,” the Inspector added. The police recovered property worth Rs 1.50 lakh from him.
