Two repeat offenders arrested for mobile phone thefts in Hyderabad

Khairatabad Police Station police arrested two repeat offenders accused of stealing mobile phones from homes where residents slept with open doors during summer nights. Police recovered 22 stolen phones, while one accused was found to have 29 prior criminal cases.

Hyderabad: Two repeat offenders who allegedly stole mobile phones from houses where residents slept with doors open during the summer were arrested by the Khairatabad police on Saturday.

The suspects, identified as Balaraju and Patil Sandeep, allegedly targeted vulnerable houses at night and escaped with mobile phones.


Officials said Balaraju is a habitual offender with 29 previous criminal cases registered against him.

Police recovered 22 stolen mobile phones from them. The duo was later remanded in judicial custody.
