Two separate incidents claim lives in Asifabad and Narayanpet districts
Two separate incidents in Telangana claimed lives on Thursday. A youth was swept away while crossing a swollen rivulet in Asifabad, and a motorcyclist died in a road accident in Marikal mandal after being hit by a speeding car.
Sirpur: In two tragic incidents reported on Thursday, a youth was swept away in a swollen rivulet in Kumram Bheem Asifabad district, while a motorcyclist lost his life in a road accident in Narayanpet district.
In Ketini village of Sirpur mandal, a youngster, Sedmaka Suman, was swept away while trying to cross a rivulet in spate along with three of his friends. The group was reportedly heading to their agricultural fields after learning that cattle were damaging their crops.
While his friends managed to swim to safety, Suman was overpowered by the strong current and washed away. A search operation is underway to trace the missing youth.
In a separate incident near Tileru stage in Marikal mandal, Vadde Siva, a resident of Narlonikunta village, died on the spot after his motorcycle was hit by a speeding car. According to police, the car was heading from Narayanpet when it rammed into the motorcyclist, who was returning home.
A case has been registered, and an investigation is in progress.
