Two separate incidents in Telangana claimed lives on Thursday. A youth was swept away while crossing a swollen rivulet in Asifabad, and a motorcyclist died in a road accident in Marikal mandal after being hit by a speeding car.
The incident took place when the bike carrying the victim accidentally plunged into the rivulet from the bridge over Bokkalavagu near Kalvacherla, resulting in his immediate death.
Preethi (13) and Rohit (11) drowned while two others managed to escape at Tirumalapur village on Sunday when they went for washing clothes in a rivulet.
