Hyderabad: Two women employees of a stock trading firm in the city were arrested by the city police on Monday for misappropriating share holdings of their client and causing a loss of Rs. 1 crore.

The arrested persons are identified as G Mounika (25), a branch manager and G Vasundhara, an assistant manager working with a prominent Stock Broking firm at Tarnaka. The duo had allegedly obtained signatures of blank documents from one Ramarao Nagaraju of USA who had demat accounts with the firm.


“Without taking the consent of the account holders, Mounika and Vasundhara indulged in repeated trading causing a loss of Rs 1 crore,” said Avinash Mohanty, Joint Commissioner of Police, Detective Department.

Based on a complaint from Nagaraju, the police registered a case and arrested Mounika and Vasundhara who were produced before court and remanded.
