Two teenagers drowned in the Manair river on the outskirts of Sircilla town after going for a swim on Friday. The victims, aged 18 and 17, were retrieved from the river. Police have registered a case and begun investigation.
Rajanna Sircilla: Two drowned in Manair river on the outskirts of Sircilla town on Friday. According to local people, Haricharan Goud (18) from Shanthinagar and Manikanta (17) from Cheerlavancha R&R colony went to Manair river near Ramappa temple to have a swim.
As they did not know how to swim, the duo drowned in the water. Knowing about the incident, family members rushed to the spot and broke down heavily. Bodies were retrieved from the river with the help of local people.
On receiving information, police visited the spot and began investigation by registering the case. Bodies were shifted to Sircilla government hospital for postmortem.
