Two teenagers killed as bike crashes into tree in Sircilla
Two 18-year-olds died in a road accident near Agraharam in Vemulawada on Sunday after their motorcycle hit a roadside tree. One of them died on the spot, while the other succumbed to injuries at a Karimnagar hospital.
Rajanna-Sircilla: Two teenagers died in a road accident on the outskirts of Agraharam in Vemulawada urban mandal on Sunday when their bike crashed into a roadside tree.
Police said Gudikandula Manicharan, 18, a native of Medipalli in Jagtial district, died on the spot. His friend, Bura Sheshi Kumar, 18, succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Karimnagar later in the evening.
Manicharan was a second-year diploma student at Sri Rajarajeshwara Government Polytechnic College in Agraharam and was staying in a rented room with friends. On Sunday, he rode a bike belonging to a roommate to visit Sheshi Kumar at his home in Ragudu. While returning to Agraharam, Manicharan reportedly lost control of the bike and rammed into a tree.
Local residents shifted the critically injured Sheshi Kumar to hospital, where he died hours later. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation.
