Hyderabad: Two teenagers were killed and another sustained injuries after a tipper lorry rammed into their scooter in Kukatpally early on Sunday.

The victims were identified as Mahesh (17) and Lakshmi Teja (17). The injured teenager was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

According to police, the three teenagers were travelling on a scooter to play cricket when a speeding tipper lorry allegedly hit their two-wheeler at Kukatpally. Mahesh and Lakshmi Teja died on the spot due to the impact.

The police rushed to the scene, registered a case, and launched an investigation into the accident. The bodies were shifted to Gandhi Hospital for post-mortem examination. The injured person was shifted to hospital.

The police seized the tipper lorry, and further investigation is underway to ascertain the exact cause of the accident.
