Two trackmen killed in train accident at Mahabubabad

The deceased were identified as Mohammed Pasha (40), and A Kamalakar Chary (36).

Mahabubabad: In a tragic incident, two trackmen have been knocked down by Konark Express near Mahabubabad railway station here on Friday. The deceased were identified as Mohammed Pasha (40), and A Kamalakar Chary (36).

According to the railway official sources, the trackmen, who were doing some painting work on Track-1 in the downline in the morning, had reportedly crossed to the Track-2 as they heard some sound of a train. But they had been hit by the Konark Express running on Track-2 and resulting in their instant death.

The bodies have been shifted to the district hospital for postmortem. The Warangal railway police have registered a case and taken up the investigation in addition to the inquiry by the railway authorities.
