Two youths killed in hit-and-run near Appannapet, Peddapalli
Two Godavarikhani youths died on the spot in a hit-and-run accident near Appannapet, Peddapalli, while returning home on a bike after visiting a friend in hospital. Police have registered a case and launched a probe to trace the vehicle.
Peddapalli: Two youngsters died in a hit-and-run accident on the outskirts of Appannapet in Peddapalli mandal late on Thursday night.
Chakri (25) and Shyam (24), residents of Godavarikhani, had travelled to Peddapalli on a motorcycle to visit a friend undergoing treatment at a hospital and were returning home when the incident occurred.
As they approached a petrol bunk near Appannapet, an unidentified vehicle rammed into their bike. Both died on the spot.
Police rushed to the scene upon receiving information and registered a case. The bodies were shifted to Peddapalli hospital for postmortem. An investigation is underway to identify the vehicle and trace the driver.
