Kumram Bheem Asifabad: A court here on Thursday sentenced two youngsters to life imprisonment and fined Rs 28,000 and Rs 26,000 for murdering a teenager two years ago.
District Principal and Sessions Court principal judge MV Ramesh pronounced the judgment awarding the term and fine against Borkunta Tharun and Durgam Narun Kumar after finding them guilty for smothering Durgam Kiran (13) to death at Ullipitta village in Tiryani mandal on June 1, 2023.
The two allegedly murdered Kiran as they nursed a grudge against him for preventing the accused from harassing his sister Sridevi in the name of love. The then SI Ramesh investigated the case and filed a charge-sheet before the court, establishing the offence of the duo.
