Hyderabad: Sixty-year-old Rayeezunnisa and her sister Shajahan Begum had long dreamed of performing Umrah together. Nearing the age of sixty, they decided to go as soon as possible.
When they discussed their plans with their families, their children decided they did not want to miss the opportunity to accompany their mothers on the pious ritual and chose to join them.
Rayeezunnisa was joined by her two sons, Saif ur Rahman, who resides in Dubai, and Shoeib ur Rahman, who lives in the city. Shahjahan Begum was accompanied by her daughter, Sara Mahmood.
The excitement of heading to the Umrah pilgrimage was immense for both families. However, their relatives in the city were plunged into shock upon learning about the deadly accident.
Following the news of the tragedy, relatives and friends immediately began gathering at Rayeezunnisa’s house.
