Jogulamba Gadwal: Uncertainty prevailed over nominations of Congress candidates in seven wards of Gadwal municipality on Tuesday. The municipality has 37 wards, and BRS turncoat MLA Bandla Krishnamohan Reddy reportedly issued B-forms to his followers across all the wards.
As Tuesday was the last date for withdrawal of nominations, followers of the turncoat MLA claimed that they had been issued B-forms by the Congress party.
However, supporters of former Zilla Parishad chairperson Saritha Thirupathaiah appeared suddenly and also claimed that the Congress party had offered them B-forms for seven wards.
Amid these competing claims, confusion persisted over the Congress candidates contesting the seven wards in the municipal elections. Chaos and tension prevailed among Congress workers over who would be the final candidates in the polls.
