Undertrial woman escapes from Petlaburj maternity hospital in Hyderabad

An undertrial woman prisoner, Ghantasala Triveni (26), escaped from the Modern Maternity Hospital in Petlaburj on Monday afternoon while under Armed Reserve security. Police have registered a case at Hussaini Alam station and launched special teams to trace her.

Hyderabad: A lady prisoner who was admitted to the Modern Maternity Hospital at Petlaburj escaped from the hospital on Monday afternoon.

The woman Ghantasala Triveni (26), who is an undertrial at Special Prison for Women at Chanchalguda, was admitted to the maternity hospital recently and is undergoing treatment.

On Monday afternoon, after getting an opportunity, the woman escaped from the custody of the Armed Reserve (AR) security personnel who were assigned to guard and protect her.

She even managed to evade the security and escape from the hospital premises.

A case has been registered at Hussaini Alam police station and special teams have been formed to trace the escaped prisoner.
