Hyderabad: Thieves made a futile attempt to break into a temple in Uppal on Thursday early hours. After making vain bid to forcibly open the collection box, they fled the spot.

According to the police, unidentified persons entered the temple, which was on the main road and tried to damage the collection box and steal money. But repeated attempts failed and they left empty-handed, police said, adding that the temple priest who came in the morning informed the local police.


The Uppal police are examining footage from surveillance cameras in the surroundings to identify the miscreants.
