This comes days after Vipin Kumar accused the actor of physically assaulting him and threatening to kill him. The accusation created a huge buzz online, as the two shared a close friendship for over six years.
Earlier, the actor had already given a public clarification denying the allegations. But now, by filing a formal complaint, he has shown that he is ready to fight the claims legally.
“Have submitted an official complaint to the Honourable DGP and ADGP, seeking justice. End of this journey, the truth will prevail,” Unni wrote on his social media.
Unni Mukundan and Vipin became friends in 2018 and were often seen working and travelling together. Their sudden fallout and the seriousness of the allegations have left fans shocked and confused.
The case is now in the hands of the police, and further action will depend on the investigation.
