UoH cautions students of strict action over misconduct
The University of Hyderabad has issued a stern warning to students against intimidation, abusive behaviour, obstruction of staff, and consumption of intoxicants on campus. The administration said such acts would invite disciplinary measures, including fines, suspension, rustication, or expulsion, and may also lead to police complaints and legal proceedings.

Hyderabad: The University of Hyderabad (UoH) recently warned its students that any attempt to threaten, intimidate, abuse, obstruct, or assault any varsity staff or students will attract immediate disciplinary action, including rustication or expulsion from the university.
In a circular issued to students, the varsity expressed its serious concerns over certain recent incidents, involving intimidation, abusive behaviour, threats, obstruction of university staff, and consumption of intoxicants on campus.
Consumption of intoxicants, unruly behaviour under the influence or participation in unlawful gathering within the university premises will be dealt with severely, it said.
The university administration warned that it will not hesitate to initiate disciplinary proceedings, including suspension from hostel and/or academic programmes, imposition of fines and penalties, debarment from university facilities, rustication/expulsion from the university. It also warned students of filing of police complaints and initiation of legal proceedings.
