UoH hosts 6th Economics conclave on India’s Macroeconomic Future

Hyderabad: The School of Economics, University of Hyderabad, hosted the 6th Economics conclave themed ‘Shocks, Shifts, and Strategies: Mapping India’s Macroeconomic Future’.
A student-led initiative of the school, it featured special lectures by renowned domain experts across diverse contemporary macroeconomic themes, including Inflation targeting, global trade tensions, digitalisation and labour, and economics in industry. Additionally, it included insightful paper presentations on diverse macroeconomic issues by young scholars and budding researchers from multiple institutes across India, which initiated thoughtful discussions.
The keynote address was delivered by Vice-Chairman of NITI Aayog, Suman Bery, which focused on ‘India’s macro challenge: Generating and Financing a Big Investment Push.’ Prof B J Rao, Vice-Chancellor, University of Hyderabad, Prof Debashis Acharya, Dean, School of Economics, and others spoke.
