Hyderabad: The University of Hyderabad (UoH) and MNJ Institute of Oncology & Regional Cancer Centre, Hyderabad, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on cutting-edge research and development in precision oncology.

The partnership aims to leverage the strengths of both institutions to develop innovative solutions for cancer diagnosis and treatment. The university will contribute its expertise in advanced research and technology, while MNJ Institute of Oncology will provide clinical insights, patient data, and access to its research facilities. The collaboration will focus on personalised medicine, developing new technologies, and improving treatment outcomes for cancer patients.

The MoU enables joint research projects, knowledge sharing, and capacity building initiatives between the two institutions. It also paves the way for the development of intellectual property and potential commercialisation of research outcomes.

UoH Vice Chancellor Prof B J Rao expressed optimism about the partnership, stating, “This collaboration marks a significant step towards translating research into tangible outcomes that can impact cancer care in India and beyond.”

MNJ Institute of Oncology’s Director, Dr GJ Benjamin, highlighted the potential benefits of the collaboration, saying, “We look forward to working together to develop innovative solutions for cancer treatment and improve patient outcomes.”
