Hyderabad: Dr. Balaji, a UGC Post-Doctoral Fellow associated with Professor N A Khan at the School of Economics, University of Hyderabad (UoH), has published two books titled “Competitiveness of India’s Agricultural Exports: in the Post WTO Regime” and “Productivity of Agricultural Karnataka: Evidence from Major Crops”, by noted publisher in Economics, the Academic Foundation, New Delhi.
His first book, Competitiveness of India’s Agricultural Exports: In the Post WTO regime, evaluates the competitiveness of India’s agricultural exports in the Post-WTO scenario. The book is useful for students and researchers interested in understanding trade and agriculture.
Productivity of Agricultural Karnataka: Evidence from Major Crops, Dr. Balaji’s second book presents the role of agricultural growth in achieving national goals, which include, providing food and nutritional security, reducing rural poverty, supplying raw material to major industries and earning foreign exchange among others.
Dr. Balaji has been associated with the School of Economics, UoH since 2009 and obtained his Doctorate in 2015. He has published more than 10 research papers in National and Global peer-review journals and is a lifetime member of Indian Economic Association.
