UoH’s Department of English Professors continue to top South Asia Research
The update of the 2020 Report shows Prof.K Narayana Chandran continuing at the #1 rank and Prof. Pramod K Nayar at #2 in South Asia, based on their publications.
Hyderabad: The Department of English at the University of Hyderabad (UoH) remains at the top rank in Arts and Humanities Research across South Asia through two of its faculty as per the survey done by the Centre for Publication Ethics, Savitribai Phule Pune University.
The update of the 2020 Report shows Prof.K Narayana Chandran continuing at the #1 rank and Prof. Pramod K Nayar at #2 in South Asia, based on their publications (50 and 46 respectively), 1989-2021, indexed in the authoritative Web of Science.
UoH Vice-Chancellor, Prof.Appa Rao Podile, congratulated the two faculty members and Prof. Anna Kurian, Head, Department of English added, “The statistics provided by the CPE only underline and emphasize a truth universally acknowledged, that the Department of English at UoH is currently the best in the country, in most part because of the contributions of Professors Chandran and Nayar.”
