Hyderabad: As India and Bangladesh gear up for the third and final T20I in Hyderabad on Saturday, the series is already decided in India’s favour. However, both teams will still have plenty to prove.

India, buoyed by an outstanding all-round performance in the second T20I, will aim to complete a 3-0 whitewash. The series has seen contributions from both established stars like Hardik Pandya and rising talents like Nitish Kumar Reddy and Rinku Singh, giving the Indian team management a lot to feel optimistic about. Hardik’s authoritative finishing and Nitish’s impressive 74 off 34 balls in New Delhi will provide momentum for India going into the third game.

For Bangladesh, this game offers a final chance to salvage pride and experiment with their combinations ahead of future international assignments. Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto will be hoping his team can bounce back after their spinners, particularly Rishad Hossain and Mehidy Hasan Miraz, struggled in the last match.

Bangladesh’s inability to handle India’s spin trio—Washington Sundar, Varun Chakravarthy, and Abhishek Sharma—has been a major concern, as their batters fell in clusters, unable to match India’s dominance with either bat or ball.

Hyderabad’s pitch is expected to be more batting-friendly, which could provide the Bangladeshi batters with a better platform to score. However, India’s bowling attack has proved to be formidable, with Arshdeep Singh leading from the front with his accuracy and yorkers. Varun Chakravarthy, on his return to the national side, has looked in excellent form, troubling the opposition with his mystery spin.

Bangladesh will look to players like Litton Das and Mahmudullah to anchor the innings and allow others like Towhid Hridoy and Parvez Hossain Emon to play more aggressively. Bangladesh’s fast bowlers, including Taskin Ahmed and Mustafizur Rahman, will need to bring their A-game to prevent India from running away with the match early on, as they have in the previous contests.

For India, the focus remains on building depth in the squad by giving more opportunities to younger players while maintaining the aggressive intent they have displayed so far. As the series draws to a close, Hyderabad promises to host an exciting clash, with India aiming for dominance and Bangladesh hoping for redemption.
