Hyderabad: The Malkajgiri traffic police have closed Uppal junction from Sunday to facilitate elevated corridor construction works near the Power Junction.

Heavy vehicles heading towards Warangal will be diverted from Habsiguda junction via Nacharam, Mallapur, IOC and Chengicherla to reach the national highway.

Smaller vehicles can take a diversion from Uppal Indira Gandhi Park via the road behind Little Flower School to reach the Warangal highway.

Vehicles coming from Boduppal should take a right turn at Asian Theatre, while two-wheelers from Bhagya Layout should proceed via Nagole Metro Station, passing pillars 812 and 813, towards Uppal and Secunderabad. Heavy vehicles must take a U-turn under the Nagole Bridge to reach Uppal.

The bus stop for services towards Warangal, Hanamkonda and Yadagirigutta, currently located near the Uppal zonal office, has been temporarily shifted to the Nallacheruvu bund area.

Passengers travelling to Warangal, Hanamkonda and Yadagirigutta have been asked by the police to board buses from the temporary stop at Nallacheruvu bund from Sunday onwards.
