Medak: The scarcity of urea continued to haunt farmers in Medak district as they waited for hours, placing their documents in queue lines at the Primary Agriculture Cooperative Society at Kothapally in Papannapet mandal on Tuesday.
As the society received about 450 bags of urea, farmers gathered at the office in large numbers and stood in queues outside the premises for hours after submitting their documents. PACS CEO Venkateshwarlu said that one bag of urea was being issued for each acre of land.
Farmers alleged that the urea shortage was causing severe hardship during the Congress rule, affecting agricultural operations at a crucial time.
