US Consulate complaint leads to arrest in Hyderabad passport fraud case
Hyderabad police have arrested M Lakshmikanth Reddy for allegedly obtaining multiple Indian passports under different names using forged residence certificates. The case, registered after a complaint from the US Consulate General, revealed passports issued in two names linked to the same individual.

Hyderabad: The Gachibowli police arrested one M Lakshmikanth Reddy for allegedly obtaining multiple Indian passports using different names and forged residential certificates.
The case was registered following a complaint from the US Consulate General. Police identified passports issued in the names of M Lakshmikanth and Medha Prasoon Kumar Reddy, allegedly linked to the same individual.
Officials also found that forged residence certificates were allegedly used to obtain the passports.
The Gachibowli police are now probing the circumstances under which the documents were procured and whether the suspect used the different identities for other purposes.
